Parks

If you're hankering for a fun day in the great outdoors, Winston-Salem has a wealth of options for you. Check out Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Carolinas' guide to the best parks and recreational activities in Winston-Salem.

Muddy Creek Greenway

As soon as Muddy Creek Greenway was made long enough to attract cyclists, it became one of Winston Salem's most popular attractions. Bordered by agricultural fields, soccer fields and a horse pasture, this train has an appealingly open feel.

Jamison Park

A 35+ acre park located just south of Meadowlark elementary and middle schools between Meadowlark Drive and the Muddy Creek Greenway. Jamison Park includes a playground, picnic area, dog park, walking/running trails, and a shelter and
comfort station.

Washington Park

If you and Fido need to spend some quality time together, head over to Washington Park. On the weekends, man's best friend will find a plethora of four-legged playmates. It's a cat's worst nightmare. Washington Park also boasts basketball courts (for people), wooded trails, and a variety of shaded picnic areas.

Hanes Park

Do you need some outdoor exercise? Put a trip to Hanes Park on your itinerary. This place has facilities for tennis, and softball. Runners love the well maintained track, and youngsters will have a blast on the newly installed playground.

Tanglewood Park

If you want to ride something down a trail, whether it's a bicycle, horse, or a pair of roller skates, then Tanglewood is the spot for you. They have trails suitable for all of the above, not to mention a challenging golf course, tennis courts, paddleboats, and a pool (with awesome slides). If you happen to be visiting during wintertime, make a point of seeing the Festival of Lights. You'll be happy you did.
